Maybe in the near future. My version of the 00 branch logo needs a little work. It will look great for small things, but until I get it to look pretty close to what was seen onscreen on M's computer, I'm not ready to release anything full size. I did the logo in Illustator, but it needs some details on the lion and unicorn's heads added.

I'm working on the "Ocean Club" GPS tracking screen for cell as well. It would work well as a screen saver because you have to have the full screen (without the buttons at the bottom) to make it look right. I just don't know if the K800i will let you use an animated gif as a screensaver. Some SE's will, some won't. You could probably print it out to use on a dummy screen as well.

Yes. It requires a little more tweaking though. I'm not done. I'm hoping to have an entire animated K800/790 theme with matching buttons and accents at some point for people with the actual phones.

The screen size of the 8800 is 208 x 208 pixels.

Me too. I've got an SE z500a which looks a little different and has a smaller screen...but it will suffice for now with some UI tweaks.

I believe that the graphics for the k800i in the film where green screened in. The resolution of the text and elements are a lot greater than what a real k800i has. BUT, hopefully when I'm done, anyone owning a real k800i will have a match as close as a real k800i can get. I should have an SE "Theme" file (having all the graphical elements including the backgrounds, screen button graphics, etc.) that can be downloaded for a k800 or 790 that includes the correct ring tone (called "Doctors Tone") and a separate GPS screensaver. The screensaver is what is holding things up. I want the map to be animated (and the SE phones allows for animated screen savers) but that's becoming quite a chore.

Hopefully though, once it's finished, I can do the 00 branch desktop and GPS screensavers in couple of different sizes for non SE phones.

I simply cannot wait for that. What a great idea and I had no idea you had a whole theme package planned, defo excited to see how it all turns out...again, keep us informed..

Just out of interest, what are you using for references? Is the DVD out on Region 1 yet? I'm eageraly awaiting for it to be released over here on R2, as I only watched the film once so far...shame it's sometime in March though..

Umm...I got some screencaps from some friends of mine at Bit Torrent.

There aren't a lot of screens of Bond's actual phone screen other than the GPS one though. My take will be to make it have the green/black color scheme as seen on the GPS screen, and the MI6 computers, a backdrop inspired by the MI6 00 branch computer wallpaper, the ringtone as used in the movie, and the screensaver. I'll post a multiple pane shot of the screens as soon as I can.

By the way, I have positivelly identified the AIRPORT TERRORIST phone and it is the K600i in silver. And yes dummy phones of this are available....just received mine and it is fantatstic...now to find the exploding key chain that goes with it.

The file is an animated GIF. Most phones will use animated GIFs as screensavers.

You can download it to your hard drive the same way you would any other graphic.

Once it's on your hard drive, it depends on the particular phone as to how to upload it.

Some phones can browse the web, and then download all by themselves then use it as a screensaver graphic. Some you can transfter via Bluetooth wirelessly and some via a USB cable. Once it's on your phone as a graphic, there's usually a screen somewhere to pick your screensaver out of all the graphics on your phone.

Between my theme, the screensaver, and the ring-tone (which is supposed to be the same one used in the movie and will be embedded in the theme file), I think you'll be pretty close to the spirit of Bond's k800i if not an exact replica. Like I said...it's clear based on my knowledge of the SE UI that they did the screens in post production and it's not actually something a regular k800i will produce.
