did a little more sculpting....my first clay sculpt... any suggestion on casting..lol?

I cast in plastic resin, and mold with smooth-on brand rebound silicon rubber. Like making a halo helmet. People have lots of videos on how to do it on youtube. I have my crazy videos on how I do it, but I don't know if they are helping anyone :p

Amazing work, I cant wait to see it finished. I do have a question though, what type of foam is that? I tried to make a muscle suit and Im very limited to what kind of foam I can get. I Only have a Jo Ann fabric, and a Michaels out where I am. In San Diego if that matters. Thanks so much, love the axe hand as well.

hey
the foam is just ordinary fabric or apolstry foam for seat cushions etc. i got mine at fabricland and lens mills stores here in Canada.
i used 3m spray foam to mount and an olpha utility knife(change blades often) to carve out muscles. hot glue any stubborn bits but be sure to leave exposed under suit(morph suit base)at joints and between major muscle groups thats key to natural movement.
hope that helps
have fun

Awesome thanks so much for the tips!!! Like I said, I cant wait to see it finished, subscribed for sure!

head finally cast in foam, came out very well .its white so detail is crap in pic but the cast was successful and captured all the detail from clay.
ill put a couple coats of smooth cast to give hardness to shell.

can't wait to see this project finished!
I've been dying to see how you'll make the sealing process :p

does the foam you cast the head on is the same as the used on the body?
