It's not far off the same size as my original Bio sculpt and fiberglass pull...You can see my prototype next to it.

Here's a pic of it with some polyfilla on it.

What a true Origami Master you are Mav, hehe

Nice job though!!
I had my doubts about makin' a Bio from CBoard, but you have shown us yet again that the impossible is possible.

Way to go.......... :p

Great great idea maverick118. Now I can also start with making my own kind of Bio! I can get heaps and heaps of different sorts of cardboard + paper! And it's all waste where I work! B)

With some indeed some origami and a lot of patience I will try to build even more. Thanks m8! :p

don't forget the joint compound or body filler thought, that's what will give it a nice smooth finish....Papiermache might even work at a pinch as you can sand that smooth too....Glad this is helping some people on here to realise their costumes a little quicker.

Well if it helps you finish off your costume then I'm glad to have been able to help a little and give you some more ideas for making things.

No such thing as first place when doing stuff like this mate, we all bounce ideas off of each other, I'd love to see what Wizardofflight could do with something like this...Now that would be killer...Mind you I'd love to see what you could come up with....Mine was just knocked up on the spot so to speak...I think with some forward palnning something good could be done.

Well for all those on a budget a carboard bio is possible....After sitting down with an old cardboard box from last order if silicone I thought about whether it could be done...I simply took one of my elder masks and set about making one....No templates, just on the fly....the result surprised even me.

so there you go...budget or lack of is never an excuse when making things you just need to think sideways and have a go...Only a few hours work...The white stuff on the dome is joint compound but you could use Bondo and then sand to a nice smooth finish...Hope this helps any of you guys out there who like me can end up strapped for cash for personal projects.
Maverick118 you alway make the coolest stuff out a foam and cardboard.

Mav thats quality hehehe, fair play dude thats impressive cardboarding ( did i just make a word up )

Hi i am new here, i used to make Pred costumes 15 years ago out of cardboard/foam basicaly anything i could get my hands on cheap and it looks great you guys have got the right idea.
You don't need to spend your months wages to get a pretty good lookin costume.
I'll look around for some of my old pics and post.
