Captain Needa's Shuttle from ESB

Looks like all they did to the shuttle photo was Photoshop out the bomb rack thingee that hangs down off the main body.

Gene

Well it may be photoshopped, however the lighting is completely different which might suggest a completely different photo shoot? Which raises the question, if you have a decent picture already, why rephotograph it?...

flip between the two photos. the camera and model were not moved at all. only thing thats different is the lighting (and obviously the PS'd bomber arm-thingy)

Your move, Kozicki!

:lol

If you go back to the first post and in that image and I just watched ESB on a huge widescreen with a blue ray player that upscaled the dvd it is seen clearly that the wings are positioned like the tie bomber, not outwards.
The Tie shuttle looks like the bomber , it just doesn't have the bomb chute on it.

**Just went to the official source while posting...
It is officially a Tie Bomber without the chute, right from the source...

I retract my " D'oh " after seeing the 5th frame of the below post. Great information captured there Tsophika

You just can't trust that DVD upscaling. ;)

This is taken from a 1080p copy of ESB. You can see the inverted wings as well as the double cockpit. It will likely never be seen better than this if the filming model doesn't turn up.

The doh wouldnt have crossed my mind, its quite apparent the wings splay outwards, and QUITE clear that is no TIE bomber, at least, NOT in std formation.

Relying on silly sites such as SW.com isnt going to get you very far info wise, just a load of hearsay and made up "facts"...that arent factual in the slightest.

Great work you guys, like the Matty plates on the wings Jason, id have still tried to use the Leo though :lol.

Yeah, Leo and Karl will rear their heads soon enough - but wanted to mix it up a little :)

There's a 1/8th CB750 brake disc in the mix - happen to have two of those kits from Maschinen Krieger recipes - saved my bacon, as it hides where I cut the Matilda pieces apart, and the AMT truck wheel bits will provide a nice base for the Plastruct tubing - it sockets perfectly !

or just the "twins"

I think TIE Bomber fuselage with the duel windows like above, one being for the passenger side with no instrument panel. You could then fit quite a few passengers in the TIE Bomber body behind the pilot and on the other side.

Your move, Kozicki!

:lol

I got..... nothing. I worked on the house and another project that has a tighter deadline (a gift) this weekend. Will try to get to it this week.

It could not have been a mix of a Lambda shuttle and Tie bomber?
Like this:

Intriguing idea, but most of the look of that shuttle body was developed for JEDI. I am trying to stick with designs and kit parts that were either used for ESB or left over from SW........

Gene

Yeah, I feel ya, Gene. House stuff KILLS the free time. I'm not going to be able to do much on this for the next few weeks - just little things here and there... like this, just for you Lee!

Here is a quick and dirty drawing I did of what I always imagined this ship looked like....

I never liked the idea that the passenger side didn't have a window to see out. I know it would make me feel claustrophobic if I have to travel this way.
