Cap build inspired from a little bit of every source

Hey guys, I'm finally starting a Captain America build that I have pondered on a lot of different directions to go in for a while. I ultimately decided that screen accuracy can be difficult to achieve so I am doing a build that combines a little on screen, a little ultimate, and a little 616. I have already acquired a Maulfett Avengers Helmet and a jjones shield which were probably the most difficult parts. What I have in mind so far is to use the new Under Armour alter ego costume shirt as my main costume with a long sleeve white compression shirt underneath(east bay has cheap ones), then I have heard baseball pants are a good base for pants but I am torn between those and some sort of cargo pants. I fear color matching could be a big issue with cargo pants though. I am going to purchase a military style chin strap for my helmet and go with the non covered ear look, I found a decent one on google shopping for $7 or $8. The things I am still trying to decide on are I know I want some form of harness like in Winter Soldier, it doesn't have to function and can be nylon, I just haven't found anything that jumped out at me yet. Same with a military pouch belt, when I see one that I like I will know it for sure. I have these nice heavy duty boots but I am also trying to figure out some form of boot gaiters but I am finding that this isn't something that you have a variety of choices to choose from out there. Lastly the gloves, I want to do a fingerless and have the long arm similar to the Age of Ultron costume. I was thinking of doing some lower arm warmers or liners with a matching color set of fingerless gloves over them. That should just about complete the costume. This is my first build so any tips or suggestions would be appreciated, I am not very skilled with DIY projects so I am trying to put this together from items already in existence. Wish me luck!

You're doing basically my plan. I haven't started yet because I also want to have the physical build, so I'm bulking up. I'll tell you my plan and it might give you new ideas to work with.

Base: Underarmour shirt, as you already have planned. Or zentai suit (I really just need the stripes). Or Disguise costume.
Chest Armour (inspired by Marvel Now Cap): Umpire vest because you can find them in the style that only cover the upper chest and not abs. Paint it and put a star on it.
Gauntlets: Buy some of the foam cave ones on ebay. Or a set of red shin guards.
Boots: Cherry red boots. Won't match the other reds, but if you look at a lot of Cap action figures they use brown boots sometimes and I think they look fine.
Helmet: Either TFA, Avengers Style, or Marvel Now from Jordan's Armory.
Pants: That is a tricky part. What I have found that I like, based on pictures on Amazon, are scrubs. You can find scrubs that come in a variety of blues and try to match that. Belt: The Foam Cave again for the Avengers belt or just a black military belt for regular day-to-day wear with the silver buckle. Forgot what they're called. Have a google image. http://www.hotbuckles.com/965-521-large/black-military-belt-p-644.jpg

That is basically how I will try to build my costume. Should cost like $700 for all of it and I can take like $300 off if I use the shin guards as the gauntlets and skip the utility belt.
