yes, the project is still alive :) lol
there are parts being worked on like the trigger set up and the front site

ya ive been very busy getting stuff out ian, your the junkie for hunting LOL

cool...please put me down for a barrel and front barrel assembly :)

Received all the parts from Trooper this week, and couldn't be happier, you're a star, just perfect. Thanks again, will be in for the next parts, whenever!

Agreed, can hardly wait on the rest... Looking into scopes, probably will bite the bullet on the darkenergy ones. Wish I could source the mounts, would be fine with cheaper modern options if I had the mounts.

Have a bid on a camera body for last knob...

My OCD is getting in the way atm... trying to figure out which screws go with which side greeblies:)

I just finished sanding and filling the body, currently waiting for the epoxy to dry on the black block for the plates/greeblies... primer will be very soon:)

Primer done...

What are peoples plan for the base coat? Gloss or Matte black?

Looks like trooper used gloss for the initial build, but I am contemplating matte.

Any updates on the stocks and parts trooper ?

Also does anyone know of a good way to remove a hemisphere cap from a single point scope? I've got the a replacement but I can't get the original one off.

yes, getting the last of them out this week :)
to remove the cap, I just use a set of pliers and twist it loose.

Hey guys! So I hunted down this coil cable for the back of the Scopes. It's from the 1970's and a very similar one can be seen in the millennium falcon on Solo's set right before the Jedi training remote session. Here's the cable and a screen shot. Jerry supplied me with some sort of round rolled tubing that I wanted in the side of the bowcaster. After I sanded them down I realized that I was able to pull out the inner part of the tube. So that gave me the idea that it might be kind of neat if I could just insert the cable into the side of the bowcasters just like a plug and play, if that makes sense. So I took the inner ring and mounted it to the coiled cable and use the dab of superglue on the inside to hold on the tubing. After that I simply just clicked the cables into the side holes where the outter tube was mounted. Worked out great!

That's good info and idea Seneca...

Any other noob info like length and thickness (guage or mm)? Noticed the other is a grey color rather than black?

Hi, How did you attach the dial block to the frame?

How did you attach the rubber balls to the prod?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks! :)
for the balls you can cut a slit in it and simply slide the ball on.
the block should be a tight/snug fit, so once you have your plates screwed to the block it will hold everything in place.
as for the cord that wraps around the back, it's 4.5 mm thick, the coils are 14mm round. this is from an old headphone set
