Limited Run cancelled, Star wars anh chewbacca bowcaster run

I think for the paint, I'm going to go with a flat black and polish it like I did with other blasters. I don't want it to be too shiny.

the scopes are "original model 7" 4x20 scopes and are rare to find, you can also use the nikko sterling scopes.
the center scope is a singlepoint red dot scope, the correct version has the cone style tip .

Can you provide some details on the scopes? Brand and/or where to find them?
They look like this:

Does anyone know what the diameter of the red acrylic rod in the single point scope is? I want to replace my the rod when I replace my cap.

Thank you Trooper.

I've been looking around for 2mm in fluorescent red but I cannot find any that isn't a bulk order. The closest I've found is a few pieces of 1/16 inch. Does anyone have a source?

I've got something that might be close (I used it for a replica a while back). Let me measure it when I get home this evening and I'll let you know...

Okay, I checked the stuff I'm using and the digital caliper gives a very consistent 2.27mm diameter. I'm using Plastruct Fluorescent Rod 90272 Cat No. FARR-3H.

Hope that helps...

Bowcaster newb question - what are the differences (mainly from a visual, trying-to-reproduce-the-on-screen-look perspective) between the Nikko Stirling scope and the "original model 7" 4x20 scope?

How close really are the Nikkos?

Dan

the differences are very slight, one being the placement of the adjustment knobs, can vary. but on all these old scopes the measurements will vary even in the same model.
I have found I had to buy several scopes to get a set to that matched.
