Can you please help me ID...UPDATE PICS! SEE POST #44 AND ON!

Re: Can you please help me ID some of these props?

Cool! What a neat bunch of stuff. Mostly Trek in various forms. I wonder where the TOS tricorder/reader thing is from? I don;t recall seeing replicas of that before.

So much looks familiar, I can't wait to see pics of this stuff when you get it and can separate it out. Did you get a name of the supposed prop maker?
It's such an odd mix.

I haven't heard Clint Young's name in years! Is he still around? He was strictly doing OS Batman stuff last time I saw him (had to be 10-15 years ago!)

There have benn many made just not sold as a kit in a long time..Kev

Re: Can you please help me ID some of these props?

I like the look of this piece, looks to be a re-paint of the medical/engineering prop used on TNG.

Here you can see Alyssa using it as medical device in "Identity Crisis."

Geordi using it on Data's neural net in "Fistful of Datas."

Nice haul.

Re: Can you please help me ID some of these props?

Thanks for the pics RM. That piece is one of the reasons I bid on this lot in the first place. I never could find a good pic of it in use, so I appreciate the post. I have seen a version of it on IAW:

There are def. differences, but I can't imagine that the piece was intended to be anything else. From your pics, it seems like the IAW is missing a piece at the end. Interesting!

Hey Kev, what are NG hypos? Is that the name of the person who made them?
The size of the hypos and the the spray nozzels are different for all of them...Kev

Nice score!!! Can't wait to see better pics of some things. I like the TOS P1s and the machined piece above the yellow plastic disks on the baggie. Not sure what it is but looks cool!! :)

Re: Can you please help me ID some of these props?

Here is what I came up with at first glance:

2 hyposprays, voyager era
2 red thick iso rods? or data storage?
1 Commlock
various patches from TOS movies
Comm badges, looks like some playmates and some resin
2 TMP or TWOK graphic plates
Voyager era scalpel or eng. tool
Voyager scanner, eng I think, the square-ish looking thing on the left
4 TOS P1's
1 Galoob cricket phaser
1 TNG resin cricket phaser
Playmates TOS medical tool
2 playmates TOS Comm
1 TOS Calculator Comm
1 Spock Calculator
Piece that looks like it was made to make a TWOK Tricorder
1 TMP Phaser
3-4 TOS Phasers
1 Klingon Emblem

In the bags looks like some more graphics for TMP phaser and other various parts

Hey SS, I didn't thank you personally for this list. This was helpful and nice of you to do!

Re: Can you please help me ID some of these props?

To be honest, I don't personally know. This was an eBay listing from someone who had purchased these items in an estate sale. I felt a little put off about it at first, but I am always respectful to the pieces I collect, I take good care of them and they make me happy. I would make sure anything I resold out of the lot went to a good home. I would hope that is something we would want when we are gone ourselves. It seemed as though the family of the person didn't know anything about the pieces and sold them to the eBay seller. I think that this is a good reminder for all of us to communicate to our loved ones about projects we have in the mix, things people owe us, and what the value is to some of our favorite pieces. Sometimes, its makes the best sense to assume we can be taken at any time, no matter how hard that is to grasp!

The silver thing on the far right, center (with blue tip and oval black thing in the center) is a disposable flashlight made back in the 90's or so. It used the same kind of batteries that Polaroid One-Step cameras used (flat batter pack, came in the film cartridge). I remember having one years ago... Press the black oval and the light comes on. I don't think you could open them.

Not sure where it was used, but I could see sci-fi prop makers being attracted to it. :cool

Yep, that's a Polaroid LED flashlight. I still have mine and it worked until last year.

Re: Can you please help me ID some of these props?

I'd just like to point out to everyone... this is what is going to happen to your collection when you die...

Someone on here winning it and posting the pics is a LOT better than it going into charity shops or being sold for pennies in a bootsale. If a similar thing happens to my (insert spouse's preferred term for collection here) when I snuff it, something might actually get finished!

Ha! I think I have two concerns when it comes to my collection. First, I would like my family to know what everything is so that if they SHOULD sell anything, they are at least selling things near to what they are worth for their sake. Second, I would prefer that the items went to an enthusiast, even more than my stuff remaining in some box in my family's attic.
