Can someone help me make a pattern?

As kind of a budget/dormroom project i thought itd be neat to hardware build a classic cyberman helmet. Im still in planning, but the "earmuffs" keep bugging me. I was originally just going to utilize plastic containers, but i think id rather build them a bit more accuratley. So i toyed around today with trying to make a flat pattern for them and i failed.

so if anyone can make a pattern for the simple shape id be extremley greatful,
