Back to the hat for a moment. Something I've been going over in my head is the crown and the way it looks "bowled in". It's got a weird crease, maybe it's something, maybe not. Take a look at the blue arrows, this looks like it may have been a normal (albeit large circumference) bolero, gambler, gaucho (sometimes a Nevada) hat, that had the crown crease flattened. I can see it being done to give a little more wiggle room in the taper for the prosthetic to fit, but not for any other reason (if it was done at all) other than making it fit with the western concept of a flat crown being more intimidating.

We have turned this thread so far off the original coat info... but what the heck, let's go back to the prosthetic. Been looking pretty hard at Bane/Duros masks, and I'm getting no joy save what Halliwax posted, and those are selling out daily . There's a couple talented folks that have done them but have since disappeared and the new ones mentioned here are busy w/ other projects or booked up for the foreseeable future (some 12 months or more). Anybody found a legit maker, or know of one wiling to take this on?
