Hi there,

I've been looking for the C-3PO (or K-3PO) paper model templates online and can't seem to find the PDF downloads.

If anyone has a set of these PDFs could they please send me a copy???

Thanks.

Here ya go. I uploaded it for you on my webspace. It's actually K3-P0, but if you want to make it C3-P0, just print it onto gold/yellow paper and reprint the page containing the lower right leg on silver/grey paper.

Anyone is free to download. I've got unlimited bandwidth, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't pass the link around.

What size of paper are those to be printed on? I wonder if a light coat of gold spray paint would work and show through the details.

Can you print out on a cardboard in color that size at staples?

Sure thing. I try to help out in anyway I can. I've got an entire folder full of papercraft models. I have yet to attempt building one though. Heh. I'll get around to it eventually.

If you go to Michaels or AC Moores or any craft shop, you can usually get metallic sheets of paper in the scrapbook section. They're a little larger than standard US 8 1/2" x 11" paper, but just cut it to size, and stick it in your printer. Granted, it wont be shiny gold foil (as you cant print on that without special laser printers and paper), but you can still find metallics that approximate gold.

As for painting, spray paint wont work, but if you VERY lightly clear coat the paper with a spray can in a few layers, you should be able to airbrush some gold on without it covering up the details, so long as it's thinned very well (which is why you need to seal the paper first with the clear coat). You'll still want to print it on goldish colored paper though.

I'm not sure if you can print on cardstock at Staples. It all depends on the store. Some only offer paper. Your best bet would be a FedEx Kinkos...if you can find one. They used to be everywhere, but they appear to be disappearing.

To get a nice statue you could use cardstock to build it and then you could use resin on it to harden it. Details could be built up with bondo.

TridCloudwalker, thank you so much. I really appreciate you uploading the link for me.:thumbsup

Went to the site mentioned on page one of that PDF....the guy made a Max Rebo too! Links are dead tho. :(

Seems like the original size of this is for 8 1/2 x 11 papaer.which is way to small to make a full sized C3PO. Anyone know what scale he is at so the printouts could be scaled up?

Hmm..no links to the files...

There is a secret area on the top right..must be in there. Needs password. :(
Yeah, on the main page if you click on the block that say's "Secret Library" and type in "paper" for User Name and "craft" for Password it gets you into the download library!

Hope that helps.

Hi there, thank you to everyone who responded to me request.

However every time I print the file it's either too small or it cuts off the bottom of the templates. I tried to save the pages as jpegs so I can scale the them myself but the file asks for a password. Anyone know how I can get around this?

Thanks

I used a free program called gimp and was able to save each page as a JPG.

I then pasted them into autocad and scaled them to the right size. Based on measuring my 1:1 C3PO I found that the paper plans needed to be scaled at 6.875 times original size.

Hope this helps! I have printed out some parts..plan to glue them to a poster board then cut them out to assemble.

Hello Roughneckone.
Would you mind sharing the original template to make 3 cpo? I tried to find the secret library, but could not find it...
My son (dutchpaperboy on youtube) would love to make it...
