C-3PO at Samuel L. Jackson Tribute *FULL VIDEO*

Re: C-3PO at Samuel L. Jackson Tribute

Its stuff like this that makes you realize just how cool this hobby can be. Congrats man, what an opportunity.

Too cool, man. We here keep saying, "It couldn't happen to a nicer guy" and we're still correct. Congrats on your continued success!

Chris, the video looks great! :thumbsup :thumbsup

That was quite a bit of dialogue you had to act out with your gestures. And you nailed it! I've had to do that before as Chewie--not nearly as much dialogue as you did, but with the added challenge of opening the mouth in sync--and it's actually more difficult than delivering the lines (or roars, in my case) oneself. Especially in front of a live audience. Great job! I'm assuming you had the script to study and practice your gestures, but were you also given a rehearsal on stage?

The Wook

ps~it was Anthony's voice, right?

Chris, too cool, you did awesome!! Our hobbies sure do break up the routine dont they? In ways I don't think we could have ever imagined... Im so happy to see that you got this gig, you deserved it!!

Might I ask whose R2 Unit that was?

Thanks again very much guys. The voice was Tom Kane's (C-3PO in Star Wars Galaxies, Yoda in the animated series). R2D2 was built and operated by 501st member and R2Builder, Vince Sanchez.

I had an early draft of the script, which was changed slightly, and I heard the dialogue twice during the dress rehearsal, on stage. I would think lip syncing even Chewie's roars would be difficult to get right if you haven't rehearsed it a lot.

That's awesome Chris. I'm so jealous of you.
I'd kill to have one of my costumes used for an official LFL/SW related event. :cry

.

A bad thing jealousy is. The wish to kill even worse (Yoda speak!)
