BvS Superman cape material

Any idea where it came from? I assume it was a custom weave for the film, but any leads or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

In MOS I believe it was mircosuede, you should be able to find it at any fabric store.

I was going to say, I'm pretty sure they used microsuede again, but from the looks of this picture, it actually looks like it may be some kind of tweed or something. Kinda surprising.

It's more of an upholstery type material, very large grain, much different from MOS. I would start in that direction, perhaps an upholstery twill.

Here are closeups of the Comic Con 2015 exhibit photos. It is a different cape material from MOS. It is clearly a weave. fabric that is also thicker than the MOS crushed velvet/microsuede.

OK, here's some research I've been doing on the cape... Ordered tones of samples and i think we all know by now that it was most probably custom made but I have something in the works....

Yes, I will be tempting to replicate this It is a Trill weave.
