buzz lightyear, jessie, and woody build

Hey everyone my names mac and i'm starting my first build and WOW this is pretty fun. well got the idea about doing this and saw people had already built some amazing ones and i decided to go out and try it myself. Today I picked up most of the stuff at thrift stores, and a dollar store, and hobby lobby. I just want to see how big my son smiles when he thinks im buzz lightyear hes obsessed with it hes only 2 but i know he'll love it.

so far this is what i've done today
I couldn't get on any of the sizing or outlines not sure if its cuz i have a macbook or what but none of them would open so i eye balled it.

wow idk how people manage to pull these off but wow tired 3 different materials and they didnt work now im usuing a cardboard barrel
