Building the 4' Star Destroyer

Re: Making of ANH Star Destroyer

Coming along well.

What did you use for the rear-most turret? I bought a Trumpeter 1/72 kit of the JGSDF Type 74, but I haven't received it yet. I'm curious how it will compare size-wise to the Hasegawa Sherman turrets.

Re: Making of ANH Star Destroyer

I've been lurking for a LONG TIME,and I've seen your X-wing build. I just want to know, how the hell are you going to get this outside to paint it?! :confused

Re: Making of ANH Star Destroyer

Thanks Buddies :)

Jeff!

For rear turret, I thought it was similar to M60A1's top part.
So I bought Tamiya 1/35 M60A1, but it is too small in comparison with prop.
I tried to find big scale M60A1 and got Bandai 1/24 M60A1 after all.
Actually I'm not sure 100% for this part, but this part is matched closely IMO.:)

I scrachbuilt and kit-bashing some parts on M60A1-based.
The last turret includes Aurora Graf Spee, Bandai 1/48 Panther, Italeri 1/72 Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf m/n, Fujimi 1/76 M36 Jackson and Heller LaSeine parts as well.

Now that makes one smart statement when someone walks in the door and sees that....will you be adding the Tantive IV in there somewhere???

Re: Making of ANH Star Destroyer

Hi friends,

Recently, I'm working the Docking Bay of ANH ISD.
As you see in the pic, I identified many donor kits by good friends' support.

But I don't identify yet the frame and some parts as the 2nd pics.
I feel keenly the necessity of your expert opinions.:)

I guess that 1,2,3,5 areas were scratchbuilt by ILM????

Please help me....

Re: Making of ANH Star Destroyer

Not one you were asking about, but the part at the front of the hanger is from the Hasegawa Essex/Ticonderoga.

Re: Making of ANH Star Destroyer

Hi Buddies,

I've never seen the front view image of docking bay since I have decided to make ANH ISD.
If anyone has it, please post on this thread.:)
