Hello

I am new here but i have been studying costumes on this forum to build my own now for a while so i thought it was about time to join up.

Anyway me and my girlfriend have started to build a space marine and a battle sister but because we are both students we are trying to build it as cheaply as possible. Currently are plan i to build them with thick paper with pep files and after that use paper mache to make them sturdy and also fill them with construction foam to not make the boxed parts buckel.

i have only seen people build them with eva foam because of little money and eva foam being impossible to get in Sweden this is not a alternativ. anyway i will be thankful for all advice i can get for this build.

You can build your suits with cardboard, hotglue and paper mache. I saw someone use this method in deviantart site.

The EVA floor mats cost about 12 £ there and as a said i am on a budget but i have looked at those before.

I have found some A2 paper that is 180g som they should be sturdy with some paper mache on them.

So we have now started to build with the thick paper and so far so good. Both helmets are now made a bolter and one shoulder for sister of battle. I have printed the shoulders for both space marine and sister of battle and the cheast piece for the marine. The shoulders for the SoB i found at some random homepage and they where just barly made to pdo so i hade to unfold them and the same goes for the sister of battle helmet

I am currently working on unfolding a SoB chest piece that i found from a small figure that was a complete SoB model. I cant remember where i found that one either but if somebody knows please write. Please understand that none of the modelling was made by me only the unfolding so nobody get mad or anything.
