budget Batman TDK ver. 3 WIP (pic heavy)

not much done...

old lipstick, vinyl foam placemat, roofing rivets....

put together...

painted..

procastinating...on the mesh...have it done or stick to making it out of materials in the storage room???

still have not decided on the mesh.....so did some alterations to a pair of gloves instead...made knuckles out of plumber's putty/epoxy to replace the existing knuckles...you guys think it will look better? thanks.

comments and suggestions highly welcomed. :D

I like the knux, and the shapes you achieved on them.

Looking forward to more updates!

Re: duct tape TDK cowl how to (Budget re-build whole suit)

Would you mind very much posting patterns of the chest pieces? I really like your build compared to all the other TDKR builds out there. Yours is the most realistic. and could you tell what the measurements are too? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mark W.

@ Gratefuldawg - i'd like to help bro...but unfortunately the patterns i made were all temporaray till i was able to trace it unto cardboard. they were freehanded while comparing against numerous pics on the web and constantly checked against my body to get the correct proportion/scale. i can take a photo with a ruler against the chest piece if you like if that would help out regarding the measurement, its a bit bigger than the foam templates here cause i'm no slim jim.lol

I would also enjoy and appreciate more info on the construction of your chest pieces, I get the basic idea, I just wish you broke it down like the belt, great work, I am learning a lot from you, I think I bookmarked your batman and bat girl thread, very cool and many thanks

@ majed - unfortunately i think its only available here in our country bro, its called waterstop epoxy sealant, manufactured by cord chemicals, i believe something similar is epoxyclay aqua made by pioneer

you drop my jaw at each update!!
I started to be only interested on how you make the belt, and now I'll totally try to base my whole build on your method xD

great job!

So I'm making my own batgirl cowl using this, and I was wondering what type of plumbers putty you used? The one I bought says it doesn't harden or dry so I'm not sure which kind to get.

but GREAT COWL seriously well done!

Just made a paper model of a cowl using Ruze789's pepakura file, i'm wondering if I should build it up with duct tape and plumbers putty like yours as well!

Here's a shot of it in it's current state, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
