Living local to where Bruce and Sam Raimi started out, I've run into Bruce at a couple events over the years.

He has always been gracious to everyone I was with, and surprisingly tolerant of drooling fanboys.

Maybe you just caught him on a bad day.

He was great when I met him a few years ago at a book signing. He even personalized 3 figures for me after I waited in line 2 1/2 hours...and he wasn't supposed to. He was only supposed to sign for 1-2 hours, but he stood up at B&N and said he'd stay until everyone in line got an autograph...I think he was there at least 4 hours straight.

Not only did I get to meet him, but he also used my cell phone to talk to a friend who couldn't make it. He strung her on for a few minutes sayying he had one bit of very important advice for her. Just when he was finally going to tell her what it was, he hung up the phone. He looked at me laughing and said, "Heh heh heh, works every time."

God, I love that man.

I met him in LA right after Evil Dead 2 was finished and at the Tampa Theatre 04'. Great guy.
