I've been trying to find some epaulettes repros as well but the are always mega pricey.

I've finally broken down and plan to simply build them from the gold rope that you can find at the fabric store.

Not exactly the same type, but there are some here. Atlanta Cutlery carries some as well, but their website isn't responding right now, and IIRC they're Union/Confederate style.

This is one tough uniform accessory to locate. Since most of this type of bullion work is done in India and Pakistan, you may want to try the replica historical sword dealers like Windlass Steelcrafts. The other resource might be American Civil War and Revolutionary War re-enactors. They might be able to direct you to period suttlers (suppliers) who may have a source for these types of dress epaulettes. In any case good luck.
