I will be doing the Marty thing (without my jacket because it is not ready) thing and spending a fair amount of time helping sleepless with his DMC time machine.
I'll also be wearing black for the 501st.

I was there (no costume as it was a surprise from my wife), I also had my 2 little ones attached to me. But it was great to look around and catch up with people. I saw cavx in his Marty gear when I took my daughter up for a photo in the Delorean.

I am hoping to find someone around Brisbane who has the lights, plush camera, backdrop etc to take great object photos.

It is for a custom 1/6th scale action figure I built.

Let me know if that is you, or you know of someone.

Am happy to pay, though my budget isn't huge.

Yeah, I have minimal free time until after Christmas too.
Do you have lights? The reason I ask is that for a few pics I wanted to replicate the shadow play of some reference pics with my fig.
Have you tried green/blue screening too?
Some pics I wanted a neutral background, some I wanted to Photoshop in other backgrounds.
