Bovine13 Hands and Feet Paintup FINISHED

Scott, nice job as always on the paint. I forgot---do you paint the spots on with a brush or do you spray 'em on?
As far as you getting sick from the Perma-Wet, could you explain what it is about that compound that can make you sick and what the symptoms are in the Safety section? Never heard that before.
Thanks

I use an airbrush and spray all my spots. Just smelling the stuff opening the bottle makes me felt sick Carl.

Holy crap. I worry about all you guys with all these chemicals and ****. I know some of you use a respirator like I do, but how many on this board do not? If you do, you need to change the filters, or go through what happened to Scott here. Not good, people. I will be posting more material into the safety section. I'm one of the guys who pushed for it, and I really haven't posted much in there. Gotta get my thumb outta my bum.

It's best for people getting in this hobby to buy respirator or start to invest in one. I use one all the time when i'm using spray paints or mixing chemicals like fiberglass. It's best to buy one of these first before any one buys pred helmet or mask etc.

If one is using spray paints/airbrush outdoors, do you guys still feel a respirator is necessary???? I have been thinking about getting one, as even outdoors sometimes the fumes are strong, but I figured you only need one for indoor use. Thoughts???

Whether you're doing this as a hobby or even odd jobs around the house, spend the extra cash on a good respirator. It's a small investment considering the long term effects of not using one.

good point. I have seen them for around $50, small price to pay to avoid faking up your lungs

I'd definitely recommend a respirator too, even if working outdoors. I've been practicing with just student acrylics thinned with tap water and I still get a headache if I don't use the mask. The problem with spraying/airbrushing isn't just the fumes, it's also the mist it creates - even if very minimal - and you're bound to inhale some paint without a respirator.

My hands and feet just hit my desk. You guys have no idea how sick these things are. Amazing, just amazing. Thanks Scott!
