hey gang got one or two questions

was wondering where i could find a good pad or helmet liner for a sgt fang boba fett helmet

(also this will help me finish my stormtroop helmet interior two birds one stone :))

was also wondering whats the best material to use for the visor and range finder stalk and where i could get it (home depot, lowes, tractor supply company, ect)

The stalk, you should contact biggerkidbiggertoys on thedentedhelmet.com He makes really nice aluminum stalks for boba. As for the visor, most people make their own by cutting it from a dark green welder's visor. If you want to get one already made, and really, really nice, go to bobamaker.co.uk He sells outstanding fett helmet visors.

As for helmet liner? You can use foam padding, or rip some material out of a cheap baseball helmet. I know most who do TK's use hard hat liners

I have a Sgt Fang's helmet. I can't stress enough the value in getting some aluminum for the stalk. The first stalk I had was made out of some folded over Sintra (for extra strength). We, as it happened, I dropped my bucket inside the pillow case that I use to protect it in transit. The only problem is that I dropped it right on the corner of my armor bin.... apparently, I misjudged the distance between the bottom of th pillow case and the top of the bin.

You can kind of see where this is going..... the stalk broke in three places. Now the aluminum that I have is about (or not quite) a quarter inch thick. It won't be breaking again, anytime soon.

For the padding, I had some large pieces of foam that I got from another trooper. I cut it down to about an inch and a half thickness. I basically made it long enough to form a donut out of it. Some double sided tape will keep it in place. It works great for me and my bucket stays pretty well.

Next on my list of things to do is to add electronics (fans and speaker system). As soon as I figure it out, I can let you know how I did the electronics, if you want...

Not sure whether you are looking for a simple liner or padding, but I got a very nice padded liner that covers the whole interior of my BM helmet. Came from Ebay- if you search Boba Fett Helmet you should find it, comes from Argentina. My helmet now looks very similar to the interior of a MR helmet- very neat and comfortable. Might need some minor surgery to make it fit nicely.

i have a link to that guy as i'm going to buy some of that padding for my bobamaker when it arrives, pm me and i can send it to you if you need it
