Hello all,
I've been following this community for a while but never really post. I want to get into a project building a Boba Fett to join a local group. I have done some builds but never really finished any and have worked with Pepakura, bondo, fiberglass resin, etc.
Before I get started I was looking for some help getting onto the right path. I want to start with the chest armor and the rest of the body armor before tackling the helmet and the pack. I have read some people say they have used heavy duty plastic from a trash can and shaped it to the armor. I was thinking about trying this.
What would everyone recommend for an epoxy to hold pieces together the best?
Has anyone done this with success?
My hesitation is that I feel like the foam would give more of the depth required and look more the thickness of armor.
Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.
