Boba Fett Blaster for my Godson.

So I went to visit my best friend on Friday and while we were there, we were talking how his 6 year old son loves playing with Nerf and toy guns just like we did Growing Up. But he was running around with these lame bright orange guns, and a sad colored bobafett blaster. We were talking about our toy uzi water guns, tommygun and mac10 cap guns that rivaled airsoft. Since he was only allowed to play with the guns in the house I took them home without him knowing to make them cool. Put enough time in that he should be stoked. Now i have to find a boba blaster for me.

Nice work on the scope. How'd you pull that off?

It's just the one that was there. The thing is a pretty cheap 2 piece plastic gun with a red LED inside. It was glued together so i just masked it off and paint it with the rattle can. Used dry brush brass metallic for the weathering.

The sheen on the scope and the contrast between the clamps really works well.. I have a technique for gun metal I use that incorporates a preferred satin black rattle can spray, wet sanded, and hit with Testors semi-gloss that looks much like what you have there (at least in the pics).
