Blu-Ray Goodness...!

I suppose its a little silly to post my elation with receiving something as simple as a couple of Blu-Ray discs, but its the small pleasures in life we thrive on, no...?

Ordered just a day or two ago on Amazon, I just got today:
--The Right Stuff; Digibook
--High Plains Drifter; 40th Anniversary and newly released on Blu
--The Mission

Did not even know The Right Stuff Digibook was out there until I stumbled across it accidentally. Love the movie; love Digibooks.

HPD is my top Eastwood western, and I've been aching to see this released on Blu. All good things come to those that wait. Reviews are stellar, and I plan to enjoy.

The Mission is referenced by Jack Black in a holiday Rom-Com my wife makes me watch each year. Black ( composer in the rom-com) raves about the score. Thought I'd give it a whirl.

Unfortunately not...

Even the SD DVD has more info (production notes). Nothing on the blu-ray though. Picture quality was good, but not jaw dropping. For eample, Bond Dr. No was better. But still a big improvement over the DVD.
