Blade Runner - J.F. Sebastian's hat?

First time post in this forum. Hoping someone knows an answer to this. In the movie Blade Runner the character J.F. Sebastian wears a hat which is shown around the 39 minute mark and for several minutes after. The hat is black with ridges and might be leather. I've been trying to locate such a hat without success and wondered if anyone knew more about it. I couldn't afford the original from the movie even if it was available and I'm just trying to figure out if it can be reproduced to be a wearable item.

I always thought that the hat was made out of industrial rubber...could be a simple open tube (at both ends) and the top is gathered and glued together with a button at the very top.
Then again, I also thought that it was just some kind of industrial plunger that was transformed as stated above...who knows? Good luck!

Could be rubber. I noticed on the close ups there are seams so it looked like something sewn together. I suspect if I do get it made and wear it I will get comments like "plunger head" and "condom top" Oh well.
