It looks a bit too sharp and clean and sterile for my liking. Since they've filmed digital (i think), i'm guessing they are going for a crystal clear style, but i prefer the Film stock look.

Not enough Noir.

I need dark atmosphere, smoke and steam everywhere, and slow pacing bluesy type music ala Vangelis.

I know they are a bit restricted with pre release posters, cant have Rachael on it etc but man whoever signed off on them should have to front a panel of BR fans for a suitable dressing down at the very least.

Looking forward to this, but yea, so far the images have that 'plastic' smooth look that so many films have these days. Not enough grit or sophistication in the compositions. Maybe they're just holding the good stuff back for the full trailer.

Goslings character and indeed pretty much the entire population of the city are in fact unaware Replicants and humans have long died off

Or maybe...
the Replicants were the ones who created Humanity in the first place! I have no evidence, but it's what I choose to believe!!! AHHHH!

I think the first film layered subtle depths was as much serendipitous as intentional.
What are the odds they can equal that on purpose or without contrivance?

I agree, things and ideas do materialize in the process of shooting and editing, I see it all the time when making commercials. And it's impossible to replicate on purpose. I believe that's what gave sequels the bad reputation that they have.
That said, there is sequels that are great movie, mostly because they were great movies on their own. Staying true too the original but not trying too replicate every single thing that was great in the original movie. Blade Runner set the universe and the problems of a world with replicants was well described. I hope this will be a new story set in that universe.

And if we're lucky we'll get a nice police spinner kit out of it [emoji14]

I looked at their Spinner and it reminds me of a Riviera from the '60s...but on acid:rolleyes

It's not possible.... especially if Ridley Scott has any creative control over the project.
I think it's extremely rare to re-create subtlety without feeling forced.

Official Twitter posted something about a live Facebook event. Trailing probably coming shortly.

I mean... shouldn't the trailer have come out hours ago?

Are they still tweaking the cgi??? LOL.

That Spinner looks quite unfinished... needs some logos or symbols slapped on it somewhere at least.
