Yeah I got a few 1" ones and they were way too small, felt like marbles. Quartz is probably the closes we can get without like you said, having the "glob" structure laser engraved inside.

If my memory serves me well, the sock seems to be a model used for preemies...fits perfectly inside the box with room on each side. Seems to me that a regular sock for a normal baby is too big.
