Done / Completed Blade Runner 2049 K's Blaster w accurate prop function

This run is now FULL

I will probably have parts over for a couple more guns BUT electronics would have to be sourced separately.

Also stay tuned for a progress update incoming. I’ve been swamped at work and have been traveling a lot.

A BIG box of parts that will need sorting!

Almost done printing, but I’ve been called away for work for 2+ weeks on a major project, meaning I will not be able to start sorting/packing until late September.

Apologies for the delay, but when the job calls, the job calls!

Spending a large part of Sunday sorting and doing a rough cleaning of parts. These are not all of them either!

While going through them all, I found a bunch that I wasn't happy with quality-wise and a few I am short on, so I'll be going back and printing replacements this week. This has been one of the most elaborate runs I've done so far and I'm glad to being close to having it done!

Update time. I am crunching HEAVILY at work and not getting home until late many evenings (with still a couple weeks to go)... while at the same time rearranging the whole apt in anticipation of two kittens coming! BUT... I AM sneaking in time wherever I can to sort parts. I've got most of it separated in bags now... my biggest worry is doing it while exhausted and messing something up with all these parts, so I'm taking it carefully. But things are chugging along. If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM.

OK, new RPF, new update! All the kits have been sorted and bagged and packing supplies have been arranged. I am currently working on a basic wiring diagram for the electronics and once that is done, I'll be sorting and bagging those components.

Electronics have been sorted and bagged today! Still working on the wiring diagram and before I pack and ship, I want to do a final test assembly of the electronics just to make sure I haven't gotten anything wrong. I also need to do a "tips & tricks" page to go with the diagram and set up a google drive or dropbox folder for folks on the run to access, with all my buildup photos. We're almost there everyone!

All kits are now PACKED. All that's left is for me to do some form-filling and address-writing and they'll be in the mail. (I'm going to try and get them all out this weekend.)

If anyone out there still wants a KIT ONLY (i.e. NO electronics), I can still arrange it.

Oh, and once they are away, I'll be posting or sending out links to all my build photos, the wiring diagram and a list of tips for assembly.

UPDATE TIME!

ALL KITS HAVE NOW SHIPPED!

The first few went out last week and the last of them went out today. Give 'em 2-3 weeks to arrive with all the holidays and black Friday stuff going on, but they went priority air mail so with some luck, you'll have them sooner.

Small note: The first few kits that went out did not include the M4 Allen screw, trigger spring and the three pins for the trigger, spring and back. The ones that went out today did not include the trigger springs. I will shipping these in an envelope to everyone this coming week, as soon as I get everything in.

I'll also be e-mailing a link to photos, wiring diagram and some build notes soon.

Final note for today: it looks like I MIGHT have an extra kit with electronics in the near future, if anyone is interested.

Received mine. Looks incredible! Print quality is top tier as usual. So many parts . . . a little intimidating :D

Any suggestions on someone who can finish the gun?

Got mine, but it's going under the tree. Santa's gift to me!

Hmm, I didn't get notified that you guys had replied. (I guess there are still some gremlins in the new system that need to be micro-waved.)

I have sent out the last small hardware parts (hex screw for the grip, trigger spring, and pins) for those where I didn't include them in the boxes. Things have been rather crazy and stressful at work and draining all my energy, so I haven't had time to sit down and do a writeup of build tips but it's coming. The wiring diagram IS however complete.

El Toro: have you tried Generalfrosty? He does great buildups

REMINDER: I STILL HAVE ONE FULL KIT LEFT, boxed and ready for shipping!

Speaking for myself, I'm definitely going to need the electronics assembly instructions, hoping in the form of step-by-step pics, in sequence, if possible.

Be interesting to see how other builders' blasters turn out as they progress.

There's won't be a step-by-step sequence guide as that wasn't ever planned, but the wiring diagram is pretty easy to follow and the photos I'll be uploading will go a long way to make everything clear. Most important thing is to think carefully before cutting, soldering or otherwise doing anything permanent. (And maybe test the elecs by twisting together the wires before soldering.) It's not really hard to put together. The most fiddly bits are running the wires through the main body and doing the final assembly of the barrel since you have to "stuff" in all the electronics neatly out of the way of the solenoid. I don't actually have a pistol myself right now since I sold the one I built. but maybe I can find some time to build my replacement and take more photos soon.
