Blade Runner 2049 Deckard Costume

Now that I finally have a huge load of work out of the way, I’m ready to start revisiting some of my old threads and make a couple new ones (like this one). Since I didn’t see much about it on Propsummit (or anywhere really), I decided to post here. Last month, one of the Deckard costumes from 2049 was offered for sale, but didn’t find any buyers. Here’s a nice photo of it:

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find much info about the pants. However, Deckard does wear a pair of Kühl pants at one point in the film (identified in another thread). Anyways, I think I found the iconic gray shirt:

Well, they come in a pack of four, but I think that’s how Ford described them when asked why he wore a simple t shirt. They’re available here: https://www.amazon.com/Hanes-Comfortsoft-T-Shirt-Light-Steel/dp/B00KBZP09A
If anyone has info on the belt and shoes, I’d appreciate it.

The pants shown in the auction look/looked very similar to 511 Tactical trousers, but don't resemble what was displayed at the ArcLight display or the FIDM exhibit. In those instances, the Kühl brand is a better match.

I found a nice shot online. They appear to be the Kühl pants, judging by the angle above and below the knee? Also, has anyone identified the shoes yet?

I think the pants may have been inspired by the 5.11's. If you look at cargo pockets on the 5.11's they look to be stitched straight down onto the leg were as the 2049 pants have the more traditional billowing pockets that sit proud of the leg. I think they maybe liked the design and remade it in what looks like cotton and changed the pockets slightly.

Double checked the auction source, turns out the pants were bespoke, so I guess you’re right.
I’ve been finding the exact Kuhl pants on eBay recently, just need to find in the right size and color.

Hi,this costume popped up for auction again a couple of months ago through Premiere Props and I won it.They had it listed it as a 'Test Costume',which makes sense since we all know he wears a different style in the film.I like the fact that half of the costume is a test/concept item.Makes it interesting to see where the costume dept were thinking of going. The pants are more what K would wear.Cheers

Very cool and congratulations on winning the auction!

Can you confirm any of the brands that were used? Or all they all custom?

It's on its way here(New Zealand)

The t-shirt is definitely Hanes. The pants I will have to get back to you once it arrives.I believe the T says "5 Ford",and the pants "Sony Mr Ford 4".They must have changed the pants style late in the production if they already at least four of the pants made.Unless the previous three were different styles

I had the opportunity of buying the costume after that first auction,post-auction type of sale, but waited too long.Worked out better for me in the end though as Profiles In History wanted alot more than what I ended up winning it for through Premiere Props
