Black Widow get a solo movie

In her defence, a Russian accent would be pretty silly for a spy that operates a lot in the US. Way to blow her cover ! However I'm not sure I'd go see Black Widow solo movie in theatre. I'd rather watch her in a AoS tv show format where we can see her in multiple missions and environments, doing real spy work. Just like what Agent of Shield should have been instead of Warehouse 13 with Marvel references here and there.

What a completely misleading thread title. A BW solo movie is as much a reality as a Black Panther or Ms Marvel movie. It's a project they're bouncing around but in no way greenlit yet.

To be fair I have a friend who is from Russia and she moved here a couple of years back. She has no discernible accent and her English is better than a lot of Americans.

If Marvel wanted a Russian accent, she would've done one or they would've hired an actress that could've. Same with stunts, it's not like the other actors are doing their own stunts.

It's like saying, Mark Ruffalo is the laziest actor ever, he doesn't turn into the Hulk, he just relies on CG.

No its not, because everybody knows no actor or person on this planet can do that. What kind of logic is that? Then it shows marvel doesn't know it's own characters.

...and everybody knows this version of the Black Widows story? Or why a super-spy would have a Russian accent? Doesn't take a whole lot of common sense to figure out the basics - and the most basic aspect of all is we just don't know who this Widow is.... Yet.

Your complaints are unreasonable just as expecting Ruffalo to 'Hulk out' would be.

Yeah because they always give BAFTA and Tony Awards to lazy actresses. Oh yeah and Golden Globe Nominations too..

"All the fighting and wire work is her own. She worked really hard and it shows on the screen." - Iron Man director Jon Favreau thinks she's real lazy, too.

Uh, no, it wasn't. All that fighting and flipping in IM2 was done by her stunt double.

I think we'll take the word on the director in this case.

And like Stronglikebear, I'll sarcastically agree that those darn stunt doubles! How dare they do their jobs and actually do stunts.

How dare Mark Ruffalo use a CG Hulk rather than do the work himself, the guy should be pumping steroids and hitting the gym - he's robbing us of a true Hulk!

Should I mention Hugh Jackman, the man nearly got seriously injured or even killed while filming The Wolverine and now he says he's going to be smarter about using a stunt double - be smarter!?! No, Hugh - you're already way too tall to be true to Wolverine and you don't have a Canadian accent... and now you're going to start using a stunt double more often!?!? How dare you, you should continue to risk your life to please us - how dare you not use a Canadian accent and how dare you not cut your legs off or do something to make you appear the right height for Wolverine.

:lol

Btw, here's some footage of ScarJo's "stunt double" doing some prep stunt work for IM2 - they got one heckuva stunt double, it looks just like her:
I'm glad you clarified that "all that fighting and flipping" wasn't her because that footage would've fooled me.

Source to this "nearly got killed" bit...

Here, let me Google that for you.

I do find it odd that you ask for a link for this, yet you've provided not one shred of evidence for your claims that Scarlett didn't do any stunts. We have quotes from her director and actual video footage of her prepping for the role - yet, you've claimed at least twice now that she didn't do a thing - so, where are your sources, bub?

The other thing to take into consideration is that sometimes an actor, for insurance reasons, is not allowed to do their own stunts as much as they might want to. An injured actor, even if they don't get some kind of workman's comp, can cost a movie a lot of time in just terms of lost filming time while the actor recovers. Sure they can often film around them and shoot all of the scenes that don't involve them but sometimes that doesn't work because either the actor is in too many scenes or because location work is required for their scenes and their injury means having to rebook the location for another date which probably means a lot of lost deposit money for securing the location and all of the logistical support like vehicles and catering, etc.

That's because there is no proof, google is about as good as a source as wikipedia when it comes to sources, not credible. Sure, Iron Man 2 special edition bluray, commentary at the bit where she takes down those guards.

At this point I'd like to quote Tropic Thunder... but, I won't.
