Black series helmet question. Trapper into Dak?

So I've been thinking about buying a Trapper helmet to convert into a Dak and maybe even a Wedge.

My question is , are the BS Xwing helmets and all xwing helmets in general the same but with different paint jobs??

Only thing to note about Dak (I learned this from RS) is that the bottom of the mohawk front cap piece is cut straight, it doesn't have the little tab portion that the others have.
