Other than the buckles being a different shape, I think they are pretty darn close to the actual boots AND only 20 bucks! We ordered them but they haven't come in yet.

I just received a pair of CR boots that I found on Ebay in my size (8). Super comfortable!
I also purchased the Black Canary mask from TigerStoneFX on Etsy and it is perfect...spendy, but perfect.
Does anyone have any leads on the jacket? Was it custom made for Caity or has the SA version been found? Think I am going to to start on my own version of it and the pants after the PAX cosplays are done...no rest for the cosplayer!
If anyone is working on these pieces and has good, detailed screen grabs it would be fabulous to have an album on here. Otherwise, I will post what I can when I start gathering reference material.

Does anybody have a good turn around/picture breakdown of her costume? I don't really have the tech know-how to do that sort of thing but I could really use close up pictures of the pants.
In my opinion, the best wig out there for this is the Arda Buttercup wig in Platinum. Arda also offers the pre-curled Ferrari wig but it has bangs whereas the Buttercup does not, which is more accurate to Sara's.

Hey there. I noticed the links about corset leggings. I think you'd be better off buying a pair of faux leather moto or biker pants and adding lacing to it. They're really popular right now so not hard to find on amazon or even H&M.
I have a pair on the way. My plan is to make a lattice between two strips of leather and sew it on top if it seems like it can hold up to a stress test.
I picked up a lulu synthetic hair wig, Sepia in color 613. It's a bit long and needed minor adjusting as the wig cap was a little visible at first but it's holding up so far.

I love this thread, it has helped a lot because I am cosplaying as Black Canary for a Con event in December. So far I have found the mask, boots, adhesive for the mask, and corset top(haven't ordered it yet) I have a jacket I am going to use. I just need to know if anyone has found a good wig and pants. Links are appreciated. Thank you so much!
Oh also I see the link for the gloves, is there any way to modify it like they have in the show or is it best to just go with the gloves?
Also, is it possible to find/make her weapon? I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to that, so if I have to I'll just go without her weapon.
one last thing, I know it's not relevant here but does anyone know of a thread or somewhere I can ask about Nyssa al Ghul's outfit, my friend is going to the same Con and wants to go as her and so far I've only found a hat that she is wearing at the airport. Any help is appreciated, thank you. Apologies for the out of place question.

As mentioned 2 posts before yours, Arda Wigs makes some great wigs. These 2 have potential to be spot on. (I lean toward Ferrari)

As for the gloves, of course there is a way to modify them like they did for the show! Do what they did for the show... add cuffs.
Caity Lotz has said that her bo staff was made from police batons. Take that with a grain of salt. They do look A LOT like some of the batons I've found while Google-fooing, but that doesn't mean that the hero prop/s was/were made from an existing model baton. They could also just have easily been made from scratch, but very closely based on found batons. I only say that because I haven't found an exact match yet.

I found this telescoping wu shu staff. You could spray paint it with a metallic finish silver. The Caity Lotz Black Canary uses something similar that separates into two pieces. I'm trying to find a way to rig it so that I can do the same. Edit: Depending on the way that staff is made it might be possible to cut it in half at the center and insert a quick release mic adapter on either end. Not sure if there is enough room in the center section to allow for this, or if the adapter has the right diameter. Will need to find out.
Edit: Also, I noticed the Arda wig is out of stock in a color that would match Caity's on the show. I'm actually thinking of replacing my existing wig with this one. I've found it for about $40 on wigs.com (or as high as $90 at playwithhair.com). It's synthetic so it probably won't hold up to heat styling very well but the existing shape looks very close in my opinion.

Found a wig closer to Caity's than I suggested earlier, and it's heat resistant too. Sepia Wig in Cala, color 613. Needs trimming though.
Since the season 3 premiere I'm hesitant to buy more accurate pieces for my existing costume. I want to see what the next suit will look like. Jacket looks like it'll stay the same thankfully.
Also, $189 seems really steep for a pair of boots. I found these on Amazon for $24-40 (depending on size) and they look pretty dang close:

Right?! I've got a feeling she's going to spend some time as a punching bag this season.
(Can I just mention how much I loathe the frilly leather garter belt and sheer gloves?)

Maybe she is about to throw it or trip someone with it? That would be a pretty stupid mistake for everyone to make...I mean it has a handle...
I think the garter belt situation is cool. It has a pocket (maybe for the sonic device?) and lots of d-rings for gadget attachments (not that a true Canary would need any) but I agree about the sheer gloves. Either way, this outfit is way more practical without the corset that poor Sara/ Caity had to wear. I got one commissioned and have no idea how she or her stunt double did what they did in it. They said they had to cut her out of it every time because the lacing was such a pain. Either way, can't wait to have both costumes made and ready to go for upcoming cons!!
