Hi, all. I recently put together a Bioshock splicer costume, complete with bloodied rabbit mask. Here are some progress shots I took for the mask.
The finished mask looks like this. The mask is cast in Smooth-Cast 65D. The paint job is fairly straightforward, just a few grays and a little brown to dirty it up. The tricky part was the blood splatter. The texture for the in-game model has a chunky, splotchy look to the blood which I tried to replicate by building it up in layers of different colors. I used the Tamiya clear red with various amounts of brown wash mixed in.

I started with a pep file which I created from the 3D game model. Here you can see the pep right before I slathered on the rondo. I darkened the outlines with a Sharpie to help align things later while sculpting.

This is after one thick layer of rondo, corners sanded and edges trimmed:

Then I coated the whole thing with a thin layer of Apoxie Sculpt. This stuff has become my sculpting medium of choice.

Tracing the raised details…

This is the completed sculpt, ready for molding (with clay dam added).

Chocolate bunny? Rebound 25 tinted brown, actually. The shell is Plasti-Paste.

Here's the first cast, all trimmed up. I’m really happy with how it turned out. Only had a few very tiny bubbles.

I want to create the black Sander Cohen version as well, so I thought I'd give Smooth-Cast ONYX a try. I can see why folks like to use this resin for slush casting. It seems to have a gradual cure profile similar to 65D, and it’s easy to build up thickness quickly. Getting it to polish up, however, has been trickier than I expected. Right out of the mold it's more gray than black. After a couple hours of sanding and buffing, I still have an ugly, mottled surface. I have a few more things I want to try, but I’m not hopeful.

Now I need to get some good photos of the full costume.
