Biker Scout Costume

Well I thought this may be the simpleat / cheapest one to start with. If possible I would like it to be good enough to troop in, however I would rather not pay a large ammount as I will probably get more use out of it at parties / Haloween and serching ror rebels in my house!

I have a possible DP recast helmet in fiberglass and understand that the remaining costume comprises a black 'jump suit', white boots, a small ammount of armor and a tabard of sorts. Now I was going to go for a pair of white wellington boots (as I cant see how you can get walking boots on / off / done up after covering them in vinyl). I also have some 'old' body armour ,which has some flaps that cover your 'important bits', I figured to use this for the tabbard. Now what do you think so far?

I should be able to get a cheap black jump suit / work coverall. However the armor is a different issue. Where is a good place to get this (possibly in the UK). I am no good with painting etc so hopefully it won't need it. I have searched the web and found numerous suppliers of what is claimed to be 'screen accurate'. Now that is how my helmet was described and I appreciate it is not perfect, however it looks good to me.

Who is telling the truth? Hopefully you can point me in the right direction...... Please

I don't know of any UK suppliers of Scout armour, You say you don't want to spend too much so how much is too much ?
There's a wealth of information on this costume at bikerscout.net it will be well worth taking a look over there.
As for the boots i would say make your own from a pair of boots and vinyl, white wellies just look bad there's a tutorial on making them at the above site they're easy enough to do and it will make the world of difference the vinyl has a velcro closure at the back of the calf.

Thanks, I suppose no more than £100 - £200 ($200 - $400) I have a daughter who will be around 1 1/2 yrs old this halloween, I thought a nice little Ewok suit, and her dad as a biker scout. The way I look at it is, like the FX bucket, everyone knows what it is. It is not 100% accurate but everyone will know it is a Storm Trooper / Biker Scout. Now if I ever wanted to join say the 501st, or other trooping group, I don't want to find that they all laugh at me and tell me to 'go take a jump' if, for a few more £ / $ now, I could get a suit accurate enough to be acceptable. I also don't want to buy something that the seller swears is good enough if in fact it is not. I mean I LOVE the FX bucket (now I know this is an acceptable bucket) but I also know it has accuracy issues. Lots of Trooper stuff will also look 'fine' to me but I don't know how it will fair being examined for entry to a troop.......

Well bikerscout.net is the biker wing of the 501st so they won't be telling you to buy anything that's not acceptable to their standards.
It's been some time since i looked at the prices of the armour but i should think a kit will run to around £200'ish.
Moncals the man to look for his armours the most accurate there is.

Thanks! I've been trying to access that site since you mentiond it but I just can't get the site up. I will keep trying but is really anoying not knowing why I can't connect!!!!

I got mine from the guy in Canada. Since you said you have done your research - I assume you know who I mean. In Kit form the armor alone is in your price range.
