I decided to add some movement to my Halloween display this year so I am constructing a large Sarlaac pit.
I used 2” white foam to build out some rings and sloping sides. Since I’m not digging a giant hole in my yard the concession I made was to build it up like an ant hill with the inside terraced to the Sarlaac.
I segmented it into three sections so I could transport and store it. I used some pvc pipe and dowels glued in so everything just slots into place.
Paint is a series of colors, dry brushing and washes. Since this is a large prop and I can’t spend too much time on it I am just going for the feel of it and not a literal representation.
