I think dying a lab coat is a little above my experience level. Maybe next year...haha.
Here are the before and after pictures of my top. She did a really good job. I still have to put shoulder pads in then I'll be all done! Hopefully the next time you see pictures from me, they'll be of my costume completely together and awesome!
Dying clothes is pretty easy, especially if go from white to another color. A couple of years ago, I went as the comic book Joker and dyed pants, vest, gloves and spats with no problem. The key is to continually stir your pot while the mix is boiling.
So Halloween came and went and idiot me, never remembered to get a good picture of just me in my costume. However, all of the geeks at our party really loved it and even some that weren't geeks were asking where I got it, because it was done so well. Here's the best picture I have of me in the costume...(along with my awesome husband and awesome friends)
Yeah, ever tried styling/curling/teasing super fine hair before? It's not easy haha. It really does have a mind of its own. It looked great for about 5 minutes after I did it, then it uncurled and flattened. I didn't want to wear a wig since my color is the same as hers, so this is what I ended up with. And since she has sooo many different hair styles, I was happy enough with it.
