Best Ss Tos Viper

Hi Guys.

I wanted to post this in the junkyard, But being a new member, I don't think I qualify.

Anyhoo, I am looking for a Studio Scale Colonial Viper from the "Original" Battlestar Galactica. Who and or where, can I get one?? I had the Monsters In Motion Kit, but sold it. I understand it was flawed anyway. Any help would be appreciated.

You and me both... They are not being produced right now and nobody seems to want to give them up. The one produced by Jesse Meyers is the nice one, I have a post in the Junk Yard for the last month, but no luck on this particular one.

Yeah, Jesse's kit is the one to get. It incorporates a number of detail corrections and upgrades over previous efforts. However, as indicated, it is not currently available. The Starship Modeler store was selling them for a while, which is where I got mine (http://www.starshipmodeler.biz/), but it hasn't been listed for sale in a while.

Not to be redundant, but yes Jesse's Kit is by far the best.

I've had both his kit and the Kit offered by Monsters in Motion.
I am afraid I can not recommend the Monsters in Motion kit at all.
While I have had good dealings with them in the past.
The Viper kit that I got (indirectly) was cast from molds that had already gone "south" In addition to that, the details that were added are not very well done and inaccurate.
Though this kit does shares a common "ancestor" with Jesse's it is much further removed from the original Filming miniature
The Launch tube,and sled that comes with MIM's kit however was much better in quality. I believe they are willing to sell the Base/Launch-tube components separately should you wish to have a "background" for your Viper display.

Jesses is the Viper "Guru" and makes a most excellent kit!

Jessie's Viper is the best, I may be selling my built one really soon, cheap. My Mustang needs some parts. :lol

Besides I'm getting out of SS model collecting.
