Best laser printer for (paper) props

Hi! I'm a (paper) propmaking enthusiast and occasionally I also sell some of my designs/original props. Mainly Harry Potter (inspired) props and props based on fairy tales. A lot of these require prints that can handle being wet or damp, for instance when aging them or applying them to bottles or other objects with wallpaper glue. So usually I print them with a laser printer.

Unfortunately my own laser printer has horrible colour quality (I found it in a junk yard, so it probably won't get any better than this) so I used it only for black and white prints. (Like the one posted below.) Yesterday it finally died completely and won't print anything anymore. I've got some money set aside for a new one and I was thinking about getting a laser printer that can also print relatively nice images.

I can't find much info about the image print quality of laser printers, other than that inkjets seem to be much better at image printing than their laser counterparts. But how much better? Are there laser printers that still print a decent enough quality to use for propmaking? If you've got a laser printer you like using for this kind of stuff, I'd love to hear about it! Because I'm really not sure what kind to look for.

Maybe some specs/requirements will help you get some feedback.

Are you ONLY wanting a B&W laser printer now? Or still open to color?

What print (paper) sized do you need handle? Normal A4 sizes? or a wide bed printer for wider printers... and using rolls for unlimited length?

Are you located in the US or overseas?

Sorry about the lack of detail in my original post, I kind of forgot about all the specs!

I'm looking for a laser printer that can print colour images, with a decent image quality. (With decent I mean closer to inkjet image printing quality than the regular laser printer). Since there's not much to find about image printing quality for laser printers, I'm not really sure what quality to expect with a "good" laser printer. I can't find many examples of it, since not many people seem to have the use in mind that I have.

Speaking of which, I'd like the printer to have the ability to print up to A3 sized paper with a gsm of about 220 to 300.
