I've seen a handful of different cheapo version of the Atlantean Conan sword but was wondering if anybody here could recommend the "cream of the crap" as far as these go?

LOL, the "Cream of the Crap" would be the Marto produced swords. Stainless blades w/rat-tail tangs, bronze plated potmetal hilt, improper grind on the blade, but they were molded from (at least the Atlantean) sample swords that Filmswords was required to send them (contract).

Now that the FS contract has expired, these are the closest to the original design.

FS was required to send Marto swords!!!?? I remember a while back FS was offering big discounts on their swords if you sent in your Marto along with payment.

I thought of getting an Albion Conan but when their license expired I ran out of luck lol. I wanted a Fathers sword, they rock!

I got one of those swords when they came out. It sounded impressive.
UGH! That thing was a hunk of junk. It weighed a ton and didnt look like the movie sword AT ALL. (only later did I learn that they released that sword too)
I sent the monstrousity back to them and got my money back...

That having been said.
I still want a Conan sword :p

I concur with ^THIS^ assessment. Albion's were PERFECT, but don't meet the "cheapo" criteria. The Marto Atlantean is very close, & at around $300-400, are "cheapish". That is probably what I will end up getting, since I can't ever foresee having the available scratch to get an Albion (even pre-owned, at this point).

P.S. BTW, the Marto Atlantean is way more accurate to the screen-used piece than their version of the Father's sword is to the original.

Wow, I'm glad they immortalized those TV show swords.

You too can now relive the adventure and excitement of Conan the TV show with this glam rock version of the Conan sword. Ugh...

LOL, this show ACTUALLY made me mad trying to watch it. Their so-called "Sword of Atlantis OMGOMGBBQ!!!111" was so huge that it was completely comical. It would've weighed 25 lbs. in real life.

That TV Conan creeped me out. Always looked like he needed to wash his hair.

(Because in barbarian days, everyone had creame rinse :lol )
