Nearly two years ago I put together my first scratch built prop: the Greedo Killer. I was just getting into the hobby, so I didn't have much under my belt in terms of skillset or resources. I saw Lichtbringer s build thread and used that as my guide. I purchased a cheap plastic airsoft gun on ebay and got started. I also purchased a resin grill from Corellian Exports, and the correct Weaver scope rings on ebay as well. For the scope mount, I fabricated everything myself using aluminum stock and my trusty drill press and files. Finally, for the scope I was able to get my hands on an excellent cast of the Compaq Super by adamata. Last but not least, the flash hider was purchased off GunBroker. After a couple of months assembling parts, this is what I came up with:

Recently I decided I needed to do this right. So I ordered a Denix Mauser off Amazon and got to work. Everything was completely reworked from the ground up with the exception of the scope. I fabricated a new scope mount from aluminum stock, and scottjua turned some knobs for me on his lathe. Finally, I put together a nice little stand for everything to sit on.

I'll take some proper "studio" shots soon. The only thing I really want to do now is refinish the scope. There are a few very fine pinholes that could use filling. I might add the M2 bolt to the grill as well, just need to source one

Can you tell us more about that stand? I jut finished a custom dl-44 on a denix, and am trying to work out a display stand for it. Are the panels aluminum?

Also, any issues with it tipping over?

You can read more about the stand here. The base is pretty solid, and I made the pegs long enough so the blaster wouldn't slip off
