Hi everyone!

I'm going to bump this because we got the confirmation that this episode showcasing the lifecasting and making of the costume will air this Friday Oct the 12th, at 11:35PM on City TV in Canada.
Otherwise if you're outside of Canada, you can view it on your computer through Ripe.tv
Just look for the Ed the sock avatar and select the program.

Yesterday was the final filming for 'Ed the Sock' and with Liana K. in the costume.
The costume is based on the new Batwoman design from Alex Ross.
Here's some in progress pics of the costume..

The costume is cast in silicone with red flocking on the chest logo. The cowl is cast up in flexible urethane resin and was cast around her life cast so it was a good comfortable glove fit.

The only parts we didnt manufacture ourselves were the undersuit and boots.

I know I look like I got hit by a bus, but I was on almost 48 hours of no sleep and the episode finished filming last night at 2:00 AM....

This was a lot of fun and the crowd reaction was extremely cool. She really got into character and brought the whole thing together beautifully. The episode should air in late Spring.

We have more outfits to do together so watch for some new progress pics. :)

These were some of the pics from the lifecasting day back in December..

The suit looks great and she wears it well.

I gotta say that whoever got to do the lifecasting on Liana was a lucky, lucky man. I keep seeing her on "It came from the basement" showing off her amazing collection of toys and other memorabilia...she's pretty hot :)

LoL...:)

Yea, that was me doing the lifecast with help from Jonathan/Devil in the Pale Moonlight, who's also a member here.

As for Porno written all over it...hahahaha...well she did want it to be sexy while maintaining the classic look that Alex Ross gave to the design....

Since this look hasnt been seen on film yet or in any 3D form outside of the action figure we took the liberty of adding some details here and there to make it a little more interesting than plain spandex type costume. For some it's probably too big a departure from the comic art...but, going with scuplted and cast forms does allow for some creative freedom, and she certainly wanted something different while still clearly being Batwoman.

Fun project all around and she was a real pro throughout the entire process...a real tropper and pleasure to work with. :thumbsup

Hey buddy,

Thanks again. :thumbsup ...and yes, you are always very kind and supportive so as usual I'm very grateful for the kind words. :)

The show is actually called 'Ed and Red's Night Party' Ed is the sock and Red is Liana. It's an upbeat...Adult oriented TV show that can also be seen on G4 TV I think.
Lots of fun interviews with movie, TV and Comic book creators and she herself is a pretty big collector...and very passionate about comic books. In many ways this was a dream gig to be working on. :lol
The eposode will show everything from us doing the life cast to her in costume....and should air in late Spring.
When I know for sure I'll post the details. In the meantime she does plan to wear this outfit to some of the cons...which ones for sure, I dont know yet...but she does do most of the more popular conventions.

Thanks again my friend.

David

sweet.

and i love G4 theyve made leaps and bounds improvements in the past couple of years.

cant wait to see your work in motion.

let us know for sure when it will air. :D

looks great David... fantastic work and congrats on the exposure.

(I mean, your work being featured in the show... not the exposure of the female cohost to you guys during lifecasting, though I suppose congrats on that too. ;) )

Very cool indeed. Well, probably very HOT indeed, but you know what I mean :p

Also - apologies for the hijack, but - Where can I get one of those Green Lantern shirts?.

A big thanks again to you all for chiming in. :thumbsup
I keep saying how much fun this entire project was but I'm already looking forward to next one we've got in the works. :) ....and yes GuntahKela, I'll be taking it easy for the next few days. B) The shop needs cleaning up before I start the next project (unrelated to this) not to mention answering some emails...... :cry

Thanks buddy.
That Green Lantern Jersey was on one of the crew from the show...I dont know if I should say who he 'really' is on film.. ;) ...but I do think it's readily available where Tee's and Jersey's are sold.

I hoe you don't mind, but I took the liberty of touching her......errrr, I mean IT, THE PHOTO...up :rolleyes
GREAT WORK....

It looks pretty good, although I must say the costume makes her look a bit chunky in the tummy and hips.
