This is a somewhat obscure BSG prop, but I've always wanted one because it's functional. The dog bowl was seen in season 3 of BSG and was used on new Caprica as a signal by the resistance (bowl upside down = new info at drop point).
I don't have a dog yet so I hadn't been in a hurry to ID it.
Today I happened to be at a birthday party for my soon-to-be nephews when I noticed their dog had a familiar dish. Yes, it's weird that I can recognize the dish from memory but the faceted design is very BSG. Even weirder that I checked the underside of the bowl for a manufacturer name. It wasn't marked, but now I knew it was an actual dog bowl so the search was fairly simple.
The correct bowl is a Van Ness Crock Heavyweight dish size Large.

They either used to come in yellow years ago or the prop department painted it. I'm guessing they came in yellow.
CS4 or CS400 are the correct 8.5" diameter.
There are several online dealers, some listed on the 'bay and I'm guessing local pet stores too.
I might have to check if local stores have any old stock in yellow.
