First post update! We did it folks! It was possible to replicate the look of the original flashlight rods with clear printed parts.

Final results:


It works by having a hollow star-shaped core that stays ’frosted’ and carries the light, while the outer surface is crystal clear.

If anyone is on the fence about one of these, now is the time. I'm running low on resin and unless several people all at once want things (unlikely at the moment) I don't know when I'll be buying another supply.

Definitely interested. My old version I have didn't do well in storage wrapped in bubble wrap. The paint got stuck and it's all messed up now.

To all:
As mentioned, I'm close to running out of the white resin.

If someone comes into the run when I do, I'll still be able to print some parts in clear resin unless I have enough to buy a new supply. There isn't any difference in terms of quality or durability. (I don't have a huge amount of clear left either, haha.)

I’m currently out of resin, so not printing more parts atm.

BUT if someone wants a finished/working FTL key I will let my prototype go for considerably. less than a “normal” buildup. Send me a PM if interested…
