Kinji Fukasaku's Classic BATTLE ROYALE Hits US BluRay March 20th
FINALLY. I'm totally stoked to get my hands on the Blu-Ray release of one of my all-time favorite films. I'm really excited to see how the video/audio quality is going to turn out, but I'm even more excited for the reworked English subtitles. Anyone who's seen Battle Royale on the currently available DVDs knows what I'm talking about. You can still follow the story, but it's obvious that there's a lot that's lost in translation. For some people it can be a bit hard to follow at times. It'll be nice to see some proper subtitles after nearly a decade.
Also, I find it suspicious that the US is suddenly getting a proper Blu-Ray release this March, the same month "The Hunger Games" hits theaters, which has a very similar story line. Coincidence?
