Hah! Beat me to posting this, Willie. Now THIS trailer looks infinitely better than SKYLINE. Just in the first four "newsreel" images you sense a higher caliber of filmmaking than the Skyline bros. BATTLE: LA looks fantastic. Can't wait.

Early screenings of the movie were good enough to get this director hired for Clash 2, so one maintains hope.

From a "the art of making trailers" perspective, it's a pretty bitchin' trailer.

It looks much better than Skyline or whatever that one is with the giant floating aliens with tentacles is they are showing.

I like the concept behind this one a lot more. In that it connects to the real battle of LA, which I think is a pretty fascinating subject.

I remember the day they filmed the Chinooks flying over Santa Monica. The squadron had to circle the city multiple times and then eventually land at the airport there. It's kinda' cool to see what they've done with that footage and the CGI layering in this trailer.

I'm looking forward to watching this one. Not too sure about Skyline yet though. I'm waiting to hear what others have to say about it.

BTW, didn't the music from the trailer strike you as a variation of the tones from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"? Or was it just me?

Sci-Fi, again a Popular Genre, Thank You District 9 and Avatar. Glad they are putting money into these films to make them look decent.

In the trailer it said "nothing can prepare you for this"...I want to add "except, War of the Worlds, ID4, District 9, Cloverfield and Skyline"...

The military sequences of those movies were the most exciting part, for me. I'm up for Black Hawk Down with aliens, hopefully this movie will deliver, since it's supposed to focus on marine units.
