Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Just heard jesse eisenburg on cbs fm.

I hope he can act better than he does interviews... the kid could barely talk.
And that's how I picture him, he's probably 30, but he doesn't look more than 15 and should be starring on the disney channel. He's no lex luthor.

sigh.
I can't believe reviews for this movie are positive after the screening last night.

it sounds like a train wreck.
I like the old ways of movies where people got established quickly. if you build it up over movies, you may not know you'll even get...it tends to look like a mess.

The dude is awkward, but he can act. Stop judging his actor skills on what he does off camera. It's like saying Tom Cruise would be an awful actor because of his private life. Yes, he's hella weird, but you can't deny he's dedicated actor who's very good at what he does, i.e. action movies.
With that said, we'll have the reviews tomorrow so we'll know for sure, but from the twitter reactions it seems it's finally going to quiet all the whining on this thread and elsewhere.

I predict a Rotten Tomatoes score of 69%-79%.
I also think that, unless a film has 95-100% or 0-39%, the RT score is completely meaningless.

very big supporter of this movie and cant wait. However there was a post on fb from early screenings praising wonder woman. Now im glad that she is getting the praise if this is true and honestly hope shes good but when i read a comment that the entrance of wonder woman is the best part of BvS then im wondering. Is the rest of the movie so boring or is her scene just that damm good?

Very much like Robin, if the movie isn't good, she will get blamed.

nah, there's lots of blame to go around on this one.

Eisenburg's lex being a bigger factor for me.

he's better suited for a riddler type.

I felt like Batman and Robin had plenty of blame to go around as well...career worst performances from most of the cast, terribad script, absurd costumes...yet here we are over a decade later and everyone is still afraid of putting Robin in another movie. As if that movie would've won best picture, if only they had left out Robin!

Of course they also still avoid Catwoman...that character would make a great movie. It's not the characters fault that the last attempt at it was crap. It was a crap movie. But we wont blame the script, the director, any of the executives, the horrific costume choices, bad casting...no...it's because Catwoman must not be commercial enough.

For the record, I think wonder woman could make for a truly great movie or tv franchise again...but I also think she's going to end up getting stuck with a lot of the blame.

I actually think the first burton catwoan was crap too ;o) I never bothered with the second attempt.

the burton one was way too gross, just like the entire movie.. oy. thats why I kind of liked the Begins down to earth bit. kept it a little more real.

Review embargo lifts tomorrow, can't wait. Not many Twitter reactions after the premiere, the ones I saw were positive but typically for a good film you'll see a long list of positive reactions. That's what we saw with Deadpool and typically with Marvel Studio films.

Seems like a lot of positive reactions here:

You thought Michelle Pfeiffer was a bad Catwoman? Wow. :facepalm

I thought the whole movie was a bit of weird bad-dity. batman forever was almost a welcome change of pace from burton at that point.
I agree. Batman Returns had too much of Burton's touch all over it, and I didn't care for his versions of Catwoman and Penguin (though I thought Michelle Pfeiffer's and Danny DeVito's performances were quite good considering the rubbish Burton, Waters, and Hamm cooked up for them).

To be fair, it's difficult to top the... ahem... physical performance of Julie Newmar or that voice of Eartha Kitt...

Burton's Catwoman was a psycho and supernatural. Didn't care for it either. Penguin was this disgusting gross sex pervert too. Sure she looked hot but that patchwork costume was not appropriate, more like a stitched together horror character that Burton obviously seems to have a thing about.

Well thats what it was, it was burton's batman universe. Similar to what hes done to alice in wonderland to change it too much now altho unlike alice i liked batman well the first one is my fav atleast.

A) All y'all throwing shade at Batman Returns are crazy. It's one of the best superhero movies ever made. B) Officially stoked to see this again. My opinions have been a real rollercoaster on this one.
