Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Wonder when the reviews will start getting posted?

The people who've seen it surely have their reviews ready for whatever time the embargo lifts...

Right?

Wow, Affleck Batman may be even harder to understand than Bale Batman.

I dont understand the logic behind his voice. He sounds like a demonic robot. Its a little over the top and kind of ridiculous. Batman(89) and Batman Begins did his voice perfectly, to mask his regular voice, thats it. Batflecks "voice" gets stupider the more I hear it. :facepalm

I believe the heavily armored Batman that fights Superman is using voice amplification and that regular Bats will be more of a growl.

The logic behind it? Well, he sounds like a demonic robot because he's using a throat microphone to disguise his voice. I think it's cooler than just growling at people.

Is it well executed? Not really..

Of all those reviews, here's the one quote that worried me the most:

"Those expecting BvS to be DC's answer to Marvel's Avengers will find it more akin to Snyder's Watchmen instead."

If that's actually the case I'm not going to enjoy this movie very much. :(

Spoilers confirm the worst for me. This won't be a case of gosh if I could get over my MOS and Affleck hater syndrome it could work. LOL

Proves the point what an amazing feat TFA was watching this go down in flames.

B.O. remains to be seen of course. Could make a billion or two. I have no clue these days in that regard.
I think both films betray characters seriously if what I read was correct. I believe it is because it's from multiple sources now.

I was more referencing the critical response, 42% vs. 90% is a material difference in the evaluated quality presented that's less biased due to the general data sourcing. RT does a goo job on collecting and collating data.

I didn't expect anywhere near the critical response of TFA for this movie, but I also didn't expect it to be in the 30s on RT.

Soooo just got out of the European premier in London

I won't spoil anything but some thoughts for those that are excited

It is a great film and it's Aflecks film, Wonder Woman is actually quite good

The end as far as I know hasn't been revealed so possibly a big ending for some around the corner and I don't mean Doomsday !!

It's fast, doesn't play for humour at all other than 2 small gags that are already in the trailer

The Batmam fight sequence when attacks the 24 baddies in the warehouse is epic, great sequence

The big fight.... Works

The big baddy ... Meh just looks like Lord of the rings

Lex... Better than I thought but not a Nolan bady

It's biggest problem is it's just a story board made into a film, no decent dialogue or story telling just lots of short sequences with some set pieces

Afleck is good but there's not meat and potatoes

It doesn't have the class of MOS but is still a great film

TFA is in a different class re expectations for me

As for the other introductions pre justice league ... Don't blink too much but that's good as it is brinking on Spider-Man 3 for content overload

So many random shots that don't make sense also , random editing but visually great

The opening sequence during the Zod fight is one of the films high points re excitement

MOS. 8/10
DOJ. 7/10

I wonder if the R-rated cut for Blu-ray will solve some of the problems people are having with the movie or if it will just add another interminable half hour onto an already bloated slog.

Who knows how the ratings will change after general release but...

...this is really rated 10% lower than the 2003 'Daredevil' on Rottentomatoes?!

Ouch.

I think critics were sort of destined to bash this. I haven't seen it, and maybe it really is trash, but no way the critics were going to give props to Snyder, a sequel to a film that the internet has turned on in a big way, or a movie with versus in the title. Just wasn't gonna happen.
