Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I respect him more as a person after the CC panel.

Let alone an actor, let alone Batman.

I wish Ledger was still alive and he could make an appearance. (I know he wasn't comic book accurate, I just really enjoyed the character he created)

Or that they would give Mark Hammil a try...

I'd love to see what he could do! And it COULD have worked... Older bats. Older Joker.

89 batman age vs joker didn't seem as off as jacks portrayal.

Marks joker voice can't be beat imho. If I read any era comic, I have to hear his voice in my head.

Ben REALLY does look the part...

Would've never expected to say that 3 or 4 years ago...

Because now they see he's pretty much perfect for the character. [emoji14]

Well if you like the Frank Miller Bats then Affleck is perfect if you don't then you may want to slit your wrists.

I'm actually happy with him myself, think he'll be a fine more-true-to-the-comic which a nice change.

I'll enjoy Eisenberg in the role I think. He plays smart very well. He plays smarter than whoever he is talking to very well. He's playing a Luthor that is younger, thirsty and utterly certain that Superman is a threat - and I think we will see some of Lex's best manipulation at work (maybe not quite as clever as some of the comic stunts he has pulled but not far off) - yes, he isnt older, probably commands less authority than we'd like (though his intellect will grant him tons of authority in any normal exchanges) (though I believe he wont even need authority in his world - money does that for him) - but I think he'll provide plenty of oomph in the character. I adore Kevin Spacey - but I think Eisenberg will have a better script and character than Spacey Lex ever got in the first place.

I dont think we will see a comic Lex, but we will see a great Lex. Similar (in terms of aspects) to Lex on smallville in that sense. Young, not entirely evil, but morally grey and ruthless.

I'd love to eat my words but "smart" isn't only what Lex is about.

There's the methodically disciplined genius of a mature Lex (sometimes with a dose of bravado from the movies)
... then there's the impulsive, eccentric kid prodigy with something to prove that is Jesse Eisenberg.

Jesse has no inherent menace. His voice alone is awful. "The redcapes are coming"? ... seriously? The real Lex doesn't taunt playfully. He's not The Joker for heaven's sake.

Lex is someone who needs to be killed for the good of humanity.
Jesse, as a villain, is just someone who needs to be slapped around.

I see where you're coming from (Gene Hackman was a great mature Lex) but this is Luther at the beginning of his career, maybe he'll smoke heavily to get that sinister tone in his voice in the next movie. ;) (after he's been slapped around a bit, I want to see THAT!)

I was very close to agreeing - but then that moment in the comic con trailer popped up. Does someone who is stood directly in front of superman and apparently making him KNEEL, really someone who only needs slapping around? Even Zod didnt manage to get Superman to kneel. (albeit it we dont know the circumstances)

I´ve just seen "Nightcrawler". Gyllenhaal could have been an amazing Joker! May be this belogs to "Suicide Squad" thread...

Gyllenhaal is a good actor and done great movies but I don't think he could play someone like Joker and pull it off as good as Jared leto is going to but that is my opinion
