Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Jesse Eisenberg Is Lex Luthor In BATMAN VS SUPERMAN | Badass Digest
This article suggests the younger casting might involve the story with Lex being the heir to Lexcorp.

Here are the quotes from Snyder.

"Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940. What's great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He's a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions."

"As everyone knows, Alfred is Bruce Wayne's most trusted friend, ally and mentor, a noble guardian and father figure. He is an absolutely critical element in the intricate infrastructure that allows Bruce Wayne to transform himself into Batman. It is an honor to have such an amazingly seasoned and gifted actor as Jeremy taking on the important role of the man who mentors and guides the guarded and nearly impervious facade that encapsulates Bruce Wayne."

DC just gave up. Marvel wins. Game over.

Eisenberg is the worst casting idea in any movie, much less as Lex Luthor.

From Total Film:

"We chatted to Jesse Eisenberg (now cast as Lex Luthor in Batman vs Superman / Man of Steel 2) way back in October 2013 about his new movie The Double (out 4 April 2014), alongside Richard Ayoade. At the time we asked him his favourite character, Bats or Supes - now, is it just us, or could you totally read into his answer that he knew he was already in the running to play Lex Luthor?"

And here goes a couple more months of people judging and being whiny over something they have no further info on. Sweeeeetness.
No, not at all. There is information out there - Jesse Eisenberg has a list of movies he's done, he is an actor with credits, to some (like me) that's enough info to go on. You can judge an actor based on his looks and resume when going for an established role.

Based on his experience, his looks and overall demeanor (and lack of range as an actor) - Eisenberg is is just a stupid choice to play Les Luthor. It makes no sense at all - especially with some of the actors rumored that have much more serious credentials and seem much better suited for the part.

I do realize Affleck was not a popular choice with some - I thought it was brilliant, I still do. Eisenberg ruins what hope I had for the film - and that's an informed opinion based on what's known.

Zack Snyder has become the new Joel Schumacher

PERFECT!!!

Eisenberg.... are we sure it wasn't a typo and it was supposed to be Heisenberg (Bryan Cranston)? One can only hope.

This movie is, without a doubt, shaping up to be a complete mess. Sorry DC. Having a hard time getting your back with news like this.

Funny enough, Cranston was first rumored to be playing Lex Luthor, which he quickly debunked.

F.A.I.L I am an eternal optimist and I like the kid, but he is the most ridiculous casting choice for a villian ever
